You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app, at any time — no request and no waiting. This page explains how, exactly what is removed, and what to do if you can no longer sign in.
The same control is in the same place on iOS, Android, and the web app. You do not need to install the app to delete an account created on the web.
| Data | What happens when you delete your account |
|---|---|
| Account (email address, sign-in credentials) | Deleted. |
| Profile (display name, preferences, home course) | Deleted. |
| Course reviews and ratings you posted | Deleted. |
| Saved courses and saved shops | Deleted. |
| Saved rounds (scores, pace, timings) | De-identified, not deleted — see below. |
| Crowd condition reports you submitted | Kept. These are anonymous — they were never attached to your account. |
Why rounds are de-identified rather than erased. A finished round has already been counted into the published pace average for that golf course. Deleting the record would silently change a statistic other golfers rely on, so instead we remove the link to your account: after de-identification the record holds no identifier of any kind — only a course, a date, and durations. It cannot be traced back to you.
If you would rather your rounds were erased outright, just ask — email us at the address below and we will delete them. You can also delete any individual round yourself, at any time, from Round history in the app's menu.
If you have lost access to your account — a changed email address, a lost password, a deleted Apple ID — email support@stickscout.com from any address you can reach, with the subject Delete my account. Tell us the email address the account was created with, and any detail that helps us find it.
We will ask for enough information to be confident the account is yours before we delete anything, act on the request within 30 days, and confirm by email when it is done.
Deleting your account removes it from our servers. Separately, the app keeps a small amount of data locally on each device you have used it on — cached course information and your local settings. That local copy is cleared when you sign out or uninstall the app, and it is not sent anywhere once the account is gone.
Deleted records are removed from the live database immediately, and a deleted account is never restored. Routine backup copies of the database are retained for a limited period and age out on a rolling schedule, so a deleted record may persist in a backup copy until that copy is superseded.
